Three Juniors Report Results: Namibia, New Brunswick, Nevada

A single drill hole running 831 metres is longer than most projects’ entire resource pit. This week one company reported exactly that, and the grades got better as the hole went deeper, not worse. Two smaller stories landed the same week, one a brand new discovery on the other side of the world, the other a steady grind toward a Nevada gold mine that already has a feasibility study in progress.

Koryx Copper Confirms Highest-Grade Intercepts Yet Across 831 Metres at Haib, Namibia

Koryx Copper S.A. (TSX-V: KRY; NSX: KYX; OTCQB: KRYXF) reported on August 14 assay results from 17 infill and expansion drill holes totaling 6,430 metres at its Haib Copper Project in southern Namibia, including hole HM155, which returned 831 metres grading 0.27% copper equivalent, with a higher-grade core of 244 metres at 0.42% copper equivalent. Two other holes, HM139 and HM147, returned continuous zones of 76 metres at 0.52% copper equivalent and 84 metres at 0.47% copper equivalent respectively.

A separate infill hole, HMRC008, returned the highest copper and silver grades recorded at Haib to date, 8.01% copper and 60.5 g/t silver, from a narrow 2-metre sample within a 12-metre interval near surface. Haib already carries a PEA-stage resource of 2.36 million tonnes of contained copper equivalent in the Indicated category and 1.6 million tonnes Inferred, so this infill program is working to upgrade and expand an existing resource rather than find a new one, with an updated estimate and a prefeasibility study both targeted for the end of 2026. Fifteen drill rigs remain active on site.

SLAM Exploration Discovers New Sulphide Zone 2,000 Metres From Known Mineralization in New Brunswick

SLAM Exploration Ltd. (TSXV: SXL; OTCQB: SXLXF) reported on August 14 a 24.60 metre core interval grading 1.19% copper equivalent from a previously reported hole at its Goodwin Copper-Nickel-Cobalt Project in the Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick, and disclosed a new discovery of massive sulphides in a separate hole located 2,000 metres northwest of the known Logan zone. The company describes the new zone as a major extension of the property’s copper-nickel-cobalt potential.

The copper-equivalent figure is calculated using a flat 95% recovery rate and metal prices for copper, nickel, and cobalt published August 11 by an external pricing service, Daily Metal Price, rather than prices the company set itself. SLAM has drilled 2,600 metres across 12 holes so far this season, roughly 37% of its planned 2026 program, with all 12 holes intersecting sulphide mineralization ranging from disseminated to massive. No resource estimate exists at Goodwin; this remains early-stage discovery drilling. SLAM’s market capitalization sits near CA$11 million, among the smallest names this publication covers.

P2 Gold Extends High-Grade Core at Lucky Strike, Nevada

P2 Gold Inc. (TSXV: PGLD; OTCQB: PGLDF) reported on August 12 results from ten reverse circulation holes drilled on the western half of the Lucky Strike Zone at its Gabbs gold-copper Project in Nevada, with hole GBR-118 intersecting 79.25 metres at 0.78 g/t gold and 0.29% copper, including a higher-grade core of 21.34 metres at 1.28 g/t gold and 0.34% copper. A second hole, GBR-121, returned 67.06 metres at 0.78 g/t gold and 0.20% copper, including 42.67 metres at 1.07 g/t gold and 0.28% copper.

Lucky Strike sits within the same mineralized system as Gabbs’ Sullivan Zone, which already has a 2025 PEA behind it, and the company says the high-grade core appears to be thickening as drilling extends it to the southwest. Once the western half of Lucky Strike is fully defined, drilling will shift to testing the northeast and southeast extensions, both still open. This is resource-expansion drilling at a project already working toward an updated resource estimate and a feasibility study, not a new discovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s next for Koryx Copper at Haib?

The company is finishing infill drilling ahead of an updated mineral resource estimate, with a prefeasibility study publication targeted for the end of 2026. Fifteen drill rigs remain active on site.

When will SLAM Exploration report assays from its new discovery hole?

The company has not given a specific date. Samples from all 12 holes drilled so far this season, including the new discovery 2,000 metres from the Logan zone, have been submitted for multi-element assay.

What is P2 Gold planning next at Lucky Strike?

Once the western half of the zone is fully defined, drilling will shift to testing the northeast and southeast extensions, both of which remain open. An updated resource estimate is planned once the Infill and Expansion program wraps, forming the basis for a feasibility study on Gabbs.

Koryx Copper’s and P2 Gold’s results discussed here sit within existing PEA-stage resources at Haib and Gabbs respectively; this drilling is expansion and upgrade work, not new discovery. SLAM Exploration’s Goodwin project carries no resource estimate; results are early-stage discovery drilling, and its copper-equivalent figure relies on a flat 95% recovery assumption and third-party metal pricing rather than company-derived metallurgical testwork. SLAM Exploration carries a market capitalization near CA$11 million, among the smallest and most thinly traded securities this publication covers, with elevated volatility and financing risk.
