Conventional drilling struggles in loose gravel. So the first resource estimate at Laguna Salada in Argentina came mostly from 2,146 historical pits and trenches, and it still returned 4.2 million pounds of Indicated U3O8 plus 10.1 million pounds Inferred. Enovix spent the same week turning one line of its drone pipeline into a 100,000-battery order.
Jaguar Uranium Posts Maiden Laguna Salada Resource: 4.2M lbs Indicated
Jaguar Uranium Corp. (NYSE American: JAGU) published a maiden mineral resource estimate on October 13 for its 100%-owned Laguna Salada uranium-vanadium project in Chubut Province, Argentina. The estimate is effective October 5.
Indicated: 21.1 million tonnes at 90 ppm U3O8, or 4.2 million pounds. Inferred: 34.0 million tonnes at 137 ppm, or 10.1 million pounds. Vanadium adds 31.1 million pounds of V2O5 Indicated and 57.3 million pounds Inferred.
That footprint covers about 4.3% of the 210,284-hectare project.
The data is historical. The estimate rests mainly on 2,146 old pits and trenches, because the qualified persons judged conventional drilling unsuitable for grade estimation in the loose gravel, where poor recovery can lose the fine uranium-bearing matrix. Blocks built on converted screened-sample grades were held to Inferred.
Uranium-equivalent grades of 119 ppm Indicated and 170 ppm Inferred assume US$84/lb U3O8, US$5.30/lb V2O5 and stated metallurgical recoveries of 84.9% and 59.5%. Mining method, costs and economic viability have not been established.
Next up: roughly 250 new pits and trenches, plus 1,500 meters of sonic drilling at Buried Lake. Jaguar reports nearly US$18 million in cash and no debt, against a market cap near $22 million. The supporting technical report is due on SEDAR+ within 45 days. The company’s own risk list includes legislative, political and economic developments in Argentina.
Enovix Lands Initial Order for 100,000 Drone Batteries
Enovix Corporation (Nasdaq: ENVX) announced an initial purchase order for 100,000 battery units after the close on October 13, from a multinational provider of dual-use drone systems. Deliveries are scheduled for the first half of 2027. The cells come from Enovix’s South Korean plant, which the company describes as military-qualified and compliant with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), the US law that sets which countries’ goods federal agencies can buy.
Shares rose about 8.8% to $2.73 on October 14 on unusually heavy volume, per StockTitan’s delayed market data.
No customer name. No dollar value.
The order is one opportunity moved out of an approximately $216 million drone, defense and industrial pipeline Enovix reported on October 12. Enovix defines that pipeline as estimated peak annual production value, and states it is not orders, backlog or committed revenue. Follow-on orders, expected in the second half of 2027 and beyond, depend on the initial deployment succeeding.
The October 12 update put third-quarter revenue at $11.0 million, up 38% year over year. Enovix announced a CEO transition and search on August 17, and the order release’s own risk factors cite a history of losses. Market cap sits around $550 million to $600 million.
JAGU, ENVX: Forward-Looking FAQ
About 250 new pits and trenches at Pampa de Arroqui and Laguna Salada to tighten sampling to a 100 to 200 meter grid, plus 1,500 meters of sonic drilling at Buried Lake to recover intact core. The company has not given a timeline for the program.
Jaguar says the NI 43-101 report will be filed on SEDAR+ within 45 days of October 13, which points to late November. A Regulation S-K 1300 summary will go to the SEC as an exhibit to a filing.
The first 100,000 units have to be delivered in the first half of 2027 and the deployment has to succeed. Enovix’s release also flags that the initial order itself could be modified, delayed, reduced or cancelled.
