XTEND AI Robotics Lands $40.5 Million Order for 6,000 STRIKER Drones

XTEND AI Robotics Lands $40.5 Million Order for 6,000 STRIKER Drones

Six thousand drones for $40.5 million. That works out to about $6,750 per system, and the buyer is the U.S. Department of War. The seller also runs a construction company that builds luxury homes. On the TSX Venture, a transcription firm says its software can now tell who is talking with up to 99% accuracy.

XTEND Wins $40.5 Million Order for 6,000 STRIKER Drones

XTEND AI Robotics, Inc. (NYSE: XTND) was awarded a $40.5 million order for 6,000 STRIKER systems on October 13, after placing as a top performer in the Close Quarters Battle segment of Gauntlet II of the Department of War’s $1 billion Drone Dominance Program. Shares were up between 6.6% and 6.9% in Tuesday trading, near $2.45.

STRIKER runs on XTEND’s in-house XOS software. It is built for confined spaces where satellite navigation is jammed or unavailable.

The order buys a seat at the next round. XTEND goes straight to Gauntlet III but must first fill a 400-system production order, and the company states plainly that taking part guarantees no Phase 3 award.

XTEND said the release also carried preliminary third-quarter revenue and a backlog update. The published text contains neither number.

Its other subsidiary, JFB Construction, does commercial and residential building, luxury homes included. At a market cap near $570 million, this one order is worth about 7% of the company.

Roze AI Adds $14.8 Million in South Korean Fire-Safety Contracts

Roze AI Inc. (Nasdaq: RZAI) signed three contracts worth about $14.8 million through its Korean subsidiary, announced October 13. They cover AI fire-risk platforms, fire protection equipment and installation at redevelopment sites in Seoul and Incheon. Shares were up 6.1% at $10.58 in Tuesday trading.

Both customers are repeat buyers. Hajo and IJ also signed the roughly $12.2 million batch Roze announced October 6. Don’t add the two together: this week’s figures include value-added tax, last week’s didn’t.

Roze’s Fire 4Cast system feeds building sensor data into a digital twin, a live virtual model of the facility, to produce a Fire Risk Index.

The values rest on preliminary designs and can change. The contracts allow postponement or cancellation, and Roze says the numbers are not revenue guidance. Construction at all three sites isn’t expected to start until the first half of 2027.

The stock has only traded on Nasdaq since a September 29 direct listing. Market cap is about $555 million.

VIQ Solutions Claims Up to 99% Accuracy Identifying Speakers

VIQ Solutions Inc. (TSXV: VQS) said on October 7 that its work with Canadian venture studio AXL now tells speakers apart with 97% to 99% accuracy in multi-speaker recordings. The industry term is diarization: matching each piece of speech to the person who said it. VIQ owns the underlying IP.

This hits VIQ harder than most. Multi-speaker audio is about 95% of its speech output, and its clients sit in criminal justice, legal, insurance and government.

VIQ didn’t say how the accuracy figure was measured or whether anyone outside the company verified it. The feature goes to a pilot first. No rollout date.

The balance sheet is the risk. VIQ reported a shareholders’ deficiency of about US$10.5 million at June 30, with US$19.8 million of long-term debt classified as current. It wound down its Australian unit this year after administrators failed to sell it. It did post second-quarter net income of US$1.3 million.

Market cap sits under CA$10 million. In the US, the stock trades on OTC Pink as VQSSF, a limited-disclosure tier, so check whether your broker handles it.

XTND, RZAI, VQS: Forward-Looking FAQ

Does XTEND’s $40.5 million order lock in more Drone Dominance business?

No. It earns a direct path to Gauntlet III, but only after XTEND fills a 400-system production order, and Gauntlet III performance decides whether any Phase 3 orders follow.

When could Roze AI’s new Korean contracts start turning into revenue?

Not before construction begins, which Roze expects in the first half of 2027. The contract values rest on preliminary designs and the company says they are not revenue guidance.

Can VIQ customers use the 99% speaker-ID upgrade now?

Not yet. VIQ says it will pilot the feature before rolling it out to its wider customer base, and it has not given a date.
