Canagold Hits 52.8 g/t Gold and 0.83% Antimony at New Polaris, BC

Beijing put an expiration date on its own goodwill. China’s pause on its ban on antimony exports to the US runs out November 27, and no extension has been announced. Prices are not panicking: Chinese antimony closed October 10 down 12.8% from late August. A gold project in northwest British Columbia just drilled into more of the metal anyway.

Canagold Drills 52.8 g/t Gold and 0.83% Antimony at New Polaris

Canagold Resources Ltd. (TSX: CCM; OTCQB: CRCUF) reported October 22 that hole NP26-08 returned 4.64 metres of 52.8 g/t gold and 0.83% antimony at its New Polaris project, about 100 kilometres south of Atlin. Inside that sits 2.00 metres at 30.4 g/t gold and 1.75% antimony. Hole NP26-07 added 7.33 metres of 24.6 g/t gold.

Most of these intervals sit outside the current resource model and mine plan, according to CEO Catalin Kilofliski. New Polaris already carries an NI 43-101 resource and a feasibility study completed in July 2025, so this is expansion drilling at a defined deposit, not a discovery.

Intercepts are core lengths. The company says too little drilling exists to pin down the veins’ orientation, so true widths are unknown. Market cap sits near CA$155 million.

Minaurum Finds a Blind Silver Vein Grading 669 g/t AgEq in Sonora

Nobody could see this one from surface. Minaurum Silver Inc. (TSXV: MGG; OTCQX: MMRGF) announced October 22 the discovery of the Africa vein at its Alamos Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico, after geologists spotted alteration below the Europa Sur target and kept hole AL26-257 drilling. Hole AL26-268 then cut 2.05 metres of 669 g/t silver equivalent, about 1.75 metres true width.

Silver is 270 g/t of that. The rest comes from 0.87 g/t gold, 1.55% copper, 2.80% lead and 5.62% zinc, converted at October 2025 long-term consensus prices (US$29.73/oz silver, US$2,646/oz gold) and assumed recoveries.

Alamos holds an Inferred resource of 55.2 million ounces AgEq at 320 g/t. Neither Africa nor Europa Sur is in it. Minaurum expects parts of Quintera and San Jose in an update targeted for the second half of 2026, and has not said whether Africa makes the cut. Jurisdiction risk applies: the project is in Mexico. Market cap: about CA$134.5 million.

GreenLight Metals Hits 25.17 Metres of 1.30% Copper in Wisconsin

GreenLight Metals Inc. (TSXV: GRL; OTCQB: GRLMF) reported October 22 that step-out hole B26-015 at its Bend project cut 25.17 metres of 1.30% copper and 1.30 g/t gold, or 2.69% copper equivalent, from 427.90 metres. That includes 6.21 metres at 2.34% copper and 1.85 g/t gold. True thickness is estimated at about 80% of drilled length.

The hole sits roughly 50 metres east of earlier hits, chasing the zone’s eastward plunge. B26-016, drilled about 55 metres further down-dip, logged 31.62 metres of semi-massive to massive sulfides. That is visual logging. Assays are pending.

Bend has no current resource. A 1992 historical estimate of about 4.0 million tonnes at 1.74% copper and 2.44 g/t gold exists, and the company does not treat it as current. CuEq assumes US$4.50/lb copper, US$3,600/oz gold, US$40/oz silver and a flat 90% recovery drawn from analog deposits and historical testwork. Market cap: CA$19.9 million.

Viridian Metals Extends Kraken Copper-Nickel 1.5 km South in Labrador

Viridian Metals Inc. (CSE: VRDN; OTCQB: VIRMF) reported October 23 that hole VKS26-062, a 1.2-kilometre step-out at its Kraken project, cut 40.8 metres of 0.63% copper equivalent, including 15.05 metres at 1.09% CuEq. A 1.5-kilometre step-out, VKS26-060, returned 23.0 metres at 0.44% CuEq. Both ended in mineralization.

Thickness is the point. Viridian’s initial Exploration Target averaged 8.6 metres. An Exploration Target is not a resource, and the company says there has not been enough drilling to define one.

Copper is the minority contributor. VKS26-062 runs 0.23% copper, 0.20% nickel and 0.03% cobalt, and the CuEq uses US$4.00/lb copper, US$7.50/lb nickel, US$15.00/lb cobalt and an assumed 80% nickel-cobalt recovery. No metallurgical testwork has been done at Kraken Main. True thickness is unknown.

Viridian pays Oak Hill Financial C$12,000 a month for investor relations and marketing and Independent Trading Group C$7,500 a month for market-making. Market cap was roughly CA$35 million in early September, the latest figure available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does China’s November 27 antimony deadline affect Canagold directly?

Not directly. New Polaris is a development project with no production, and its antimony is reported as a by-product subset of the gold resource.

Will the Africa vein be in Minaurum’s updated Alamos resource?

The company hasn’t said. It expects parts of Quintera and San Jose in the update, which it is targeting for the second half of 2026.

When do GreenLight’s B26-016 assays land?

No date given. Samples went to ALS in early October for rush analysis, and the company flagged extended lab turnaround times.

When will Viridian report its 41.8-metre and 47.3-metre sulfide intervals?

No specific date. The company expects assays about every three weeks through year-end and an updated Exploration Target in January 2027.
