Silver Pony Resources controls approximately 37,000 hectares in British Columbia’s historic Lardeau mining district — a region with more than a century of documented silver production. Now, after decades of limited modern exploration, the company is putting the drill back into the ground.
A Mining District With a Long Memory
There are mining districts where the geology is theoretical.
Then there are districts where people have been pulling metal from the ground for more than a century.
British Columbia’s Lardeau mining district falls into the second category.
Silver mining began here in the late 1800s. The historic Silver Cup mine alone produced approximately 1.5 million ounces of silver between 1895 and 1915, along with lead, zinc and gold. At its peak, the surrounding mining town of Trout Lake City reportedly had roughly 5,000 residents.
Then the economics changed.
Silver prices fell, easily accessible high-grade ore became harder to find, and deeper mining became increasingly difficult with the infrastructure available at the time. By the early 1900s, much of the district had emptied out.
But there is an important distinction.
The district did not simply stop being interesting because the geology disappeared. The economics and technology changed.
More than a century later, modern exploration tools can investigate geology that early miners could not.
Airborne geophysics, modern mapping, diamond drilling, improved road access and other technologies give today’s explorers tools that simply did not exist when the original mines were operating. The early miners could follow mineralization they could see. Modern exploration can investigate what may be happening beneath the surface.
A 37,000-Hectare Exploration Package
Silver Pony now controls approximately 37,000 hectares across the district, including 48 known prospects and approximately 11 mineralized trends with a combined mapped extent of around 60 kilometers.
For a junior exploration company, the significance isn’t simply the size of the number.
It is the number of opportunities that come with it.
Silver Pony isn’t relying on a single small target. The property contains multiple areas being investigated under different geological models, including:
- Black Warrior
- Revelstoke Trend
- Ophir-Lade
- Old Gold
The company is also evaluating several types of mineralization.
The Revelstoke trend is being explored for carbonate replacement mineralization, where metal-bearing fluids can move through existing rocks and replace portions of them with mineralized material.
Ophir-Lade carries an orogenic gold model, associated with mineral-rich fluids moving through major geological structures.
Other parts of the property are being evaluated for Besshi-style VMS mineralization, a deposit type that can contain combinations of copper, zinc, silver and gold.
In simple terms, Silver Pony is not making just one geological bet.
It is testing several different ways that valuable mineralization could occur across a very large land package.
The Numbers That Get Attention
The Silver Pony story becomes particularly interesting when looking at the historical sampling.
At Black Warrior, a historic chip sample returned 3,549 grams per ton silver.
At Old Gold, a historic grab sample returned 12,147 grams per ton silver along with 10.7% copper.
At Revelstoke, surface grab samples have also returned up to 1,610 grams per ton silver.
And more recently, Silver Pony’s 2026 exploration program returned two notable grab samples from Ophir-Lade grading 103 g/t gold and 40 g/t gold, respectively.
Those numbers are difficult to ignore. The important question is what they represent.
A grab sample is a sample of exposed rock collected from a particular location. It can demonstrate that high-grade mineralization exists at that location, but it does not tell investors how wide the mineralization is, how deep it continues, or whether similar grades exist throughout a larger deposit.
A useful analogy is fishing.
A grab sample can tell you that there is a big fish in the lake.
It doesn’t tell you how many fish are in the lake — or how big the lake is.
That distinction is critical in early-stage exploration.
From Surface Samples to the Drill Bit
This is where Silver Pony’s story moves from historical evidence to a much more important stage.
Drilling.
The company launched its maiden drill program shortly after the transaction that created the current Silver Pony Resources, and by August the program had already passed 1,000 metres across the initial holes.
The first holes tested targets including Black Warrior, Revelstoke, and Old Gold. Core observations included features such as dolomitization and manganese enrichment that the company says are consistent with its carbonate replacement geological model.
By late August, the program has already completed approximately 2,000+ meters across several drill holes.
But these observations are not assay results.
The core must be analyzed in a laboratory to determine the actual grades and mineral content.
That distinction matters: the surface samples explain why Silver Pony is drilling, while the assays will begin to show what lies beneath the surface.
The surface samples explain why the company is drilling.
The drill assays will begin to tell us what is actually underground.

The Revelstoke Question
Silver Pony has also added another important target to its exploration strategy: the Revelstoke Trend.
Mineralization has been mapped over at least 1.1 kilometers and Silver Pony has been actively drilling.
Silver Pony reports that all three holes drilled at the Revelstoke Trend so far have intersected galena-pyrite veining.
Surface grab samples from the trend have also returned up to 1,610 grams per ton silver.

These are early drilling observations, not assay results. The laboratory assays will provide the next important piece of information.
That makes Revelstoke particularly interesting because it represents another opportunity to move from surface evidence to underground testing.
The question isn’t simply whether mineralization exists.
The question is whether that mineralization continues beneath the surface in sufficient width, grade and continuity to represent a larger system.
That is exactly the kind of question drilling is designed to answer.
Why Infrastructure Matters

Mining stories often focus almost entirely on geology.
But exploration is also a logistics business.
A great geological target is of limited value if a company cannot efficiently access it or obtain the necessary permits to drill it.
Silver Pony’s project currently has a five-year Notice of Work valid through September 2030, year-round road access and proximity to regional power infrastructure.
Those details may not sound as exciting as a four-digit silver assay.
They matter anyway.
For a junior explorer, access and permitting can determine whether an exploration idea remains an idea or becomes an actual drill program.
Silver Pony has already crossed that threshold.
From Carlyle to Silver Pony
The company itself is new under the Silver Pony name, even though the underlying district has been explored for generations.
Silver Pony Resources emerged from a transaction with Carlyle Commodities Corp., a publicly traded CSE company.
The transaction closed in July 2026, with the combined company adopting the Silver Pony name. A $4.25 million private placement was completed alongside the transaction, providing capital for the company’s move into exploration.
There is also another asset sitting on Silver Pony’s balance sheet: approximately C$1.25 million worth of shares in Roxmore Resources Inc. (TSX: RM), received as partial consideration for the sale of the Newton Gold Project. According to the company, the 312,500 Roxmore shares are expected to become freely tradeable in October 3, 2026, potentially providing Silver Pony with an additional source of non-dilutive capital as exploration advances.
The speed of the transition is notable.
Rather than spending months as a newly listed exploration company arranging the basic pieces of a program, Silver Pony moved from the transaction and financing into permitting and drilling within weeks.

The Risks Investors Need to Understand
Silver Pony remains an early-stage exploration company, and there is currently no NI 43-101 mineral resource or reserve estimate on the project. Historical and recent surface samples are selective and should not be interpreted as representative of the property as a whole.
The current drill program is therefore an exploration test, not confirmation of an economic deposit. Assay results could confirm, partially confirm or fail to confirm the geological models being tested. Future exploration may also require additional capital, creating financing and dilution risk. However, Silver Pony does have an advantage, as its Roxmore holdings will be tradable in early October. Giving the company a capital infusion not tied to finance risk or dilution.
Comparisons with historic production and nearby projects provide district context only and should not be interpreted as predictions of what Silver Pony will discover.
The Next Chapter
Silver Pony has already completed the part of the story that many junior explorers spend years trying to accomplish.
It has:
- A historic British Columbia mining district
- Approximately 37,000 hectares of ground
- 48 known prospects
- Approximately 11 mineralized trends
- Multiple geological models
- Historical high-grade silver and gold sampling
- Recent samples of up to 1,610 grams per ton silver at Revelstoke.
- Recent gold samples reaching 103 g/t at Ophir-Lade
- A permitted and fully funded exploration program
- More than 2,000 meters drilled
- And laboratory assays still to come
What Investors Should Watch Now
- Revelstoke
With galena-pyrite veining reported in all three holes drilled so far, do the upcoming results confirm meaningful mineralization and continuity along the ≥1.1-km trend? - Scale
Do results across multiple targets begin to support the thesis that Silver Pony controls more than isolated high-grade occurrences? - Assays
With drilling ongoing at RevelStoke, will the results confirm meaningful mineralization at depth?
That is the story the next drill results will begin to answer.
Now the company’s exploration story is entering a different phase.
The focus shifts from identifying targets to determining how the mineralization behaves at depth and across the broader property.
The company has already identified plenty of evidence to justify the search.
Now modern drilling has the opportunity to connect those pieces into something larger.
And if the drill results begin to connect the dots, Silver Pony could have an opportunity to move from a district with an impressive history to a company with a discovery story of its own.

Historical and recent selective samples may not represent mineralization across the property and do not establish average grades, continuity or economic viability. Float samples consist of loose material displaced from its original bedrock location and do not, by themselves, establish that source. Sample-specific sources, methods and limitations are provided alongside the applicable results.
Exploration Risk
Silver Pony Resources Corp. is an early-stage exploration company. Individual sample results and visual drill-core observations do not establish a mineral resource, mineral reserve or economically viable deposit. Visual observations of sulphides do not establish metal grades; laboratory assays are required to determine the metal content of sampled drill intervals. Historical mining activity and district comparisons provide context and do not predict exploration results on the Company’s property.
Exploration may fail to identify economically significant mineralization. Further work may require additional financing, which may not be available on acceptable terms and could dilute existing shareholders.
