Energy Exploration Technologies, Inc., better known as EnergyX, has launched a new nuclear-focused materials platform called NUKE-it™, marking a strategic expansion beyond battery materials and into the nuclear energy supply chain.

The new platform is aimed at producing nuclear-grade lithium materials, with plans to expand into uranium and thorium technologies over time. The move positions EnergyX as a potential domestic supplier of critical materials needed for next-generation nuclear reactors.


Why Nuclear Materials Matter Now

Global electricity demand is rising fast, driven by data centres, artificial intelligence, electrification, and energy storage. Governments and utilities are increasingly turning to nuclear power as a reliable, always-on clean energy source that can support long-term grid stability.

What NUKE-it™ Produces

Under the NUKE-it™ platform, EnergyX is developing:

Lithium-6 enriched to 15%, used in fusion reactors for tritium breeding
Ultra-high-purity Lithium-7 at 99.999%, required for molten salt reactors using thorium
• Future capabilities targeting uranium and thorium materials

These materials are designed to meet strict reactor-grade performance and purity standards that many conventional lithium suppliers cannot achieve.


Built on Existing Technology

NUKE-it™ builds on EnergyX’s existing GET-Lit™ technology, which was originally developed for lithium extraction and processing for batteries. Several of those technologies translate well to nuclear applications, particularly in purification and material conversion.

By adapting proven systems rather than starting from scratch, EnergyX believes it can move faster and lower production risks while addressing a growing supply shortage.


Strategic Fit With US Energy and Security Goals

The platform aligns closely with US priorities around clean energy, domestic manufacturing, and national security. Nuclear reactor developers and national laboratories currently rely on limited and often outdated sources of high-purity lithium materials.

EnergyX aims to provide a domestic, scalable alternative, reducing reliance on foreign supply chains for strategically sensitive materials.
