Vizsla Copper Expands Exploration With Two‑Rig Program at Thira

Winter Drilling Underway With Up to 8,000 Meters Planned

Vizsla Copper has begun a significant winter drill program at its Poplar Project in central British Columbia, marking the next phase of exploration at the recently discovered Thira copper-molybdenum system.

The company plans to complete up to 8,000 meters of drilling across approximately 16 drill holes using two rigs. The program is designed to expand the known footprint of the Thira discovery while also testing additional high-priority porphyry targets along the broader Thira alteration corridor.

Drilling Aims to Expand Thira Copper-Molybdenum Discovery

At the Thira discovery itself, drilling will focus on defining the lateral and vertical extent of porphyry-related mineralization first identified in 2025. Geological work to date indicates that mineralization remains open in multiple directions, both along strike and at depth.

The program will also seek to improve understanding of the structural and geological controls that may influence higher-grade zones, a key step toward assessing the scale and continuity of the system.

Second Rig Targets Additional Porphyry Systems Along Alteration Corridor

In parallel, a second drill rig is being deployed to evaluate additional porphyry targets at Camp Lake and Copper Pond. These targets lie within an alteration corridor extending more than eight kilometers and share geophysical and geochemical characteristics with the Thira discovery.

The targets are supported by coincident chargeability and conductivity anomalies, widespread hydrothermal alteration, and geochemical signatures consistent with porphyry copper-molybdenum mineralization. Their proximity to Thira enhances the potential for a broader mineralized district.

Management Highlights District-Scale Potential

Company management described the Thira discovery as a compelling near-surface porphyry system with strong expansion potential.

The exploration team believes the similarities between Thira and nearby targets increase the probability of identifying additional porphyry centers within the same alteration corridor, potentially adding scale and strategic value to the Poplar Project.

Advancing the Poplar Project in a Strengthening Copper Market

With copper demand driven by electrification, energy transition, and infrastructure investment, Vizsla Copper’s expanded drilling campaign positions the company to build on early exploration success at a time of favorable long-term fundamentals for the metal.

Results from the winter program are expected to guide follow-up exploration and help shape the next phase of development across the Poplar Project.
