Pan Global Resources Begins 2026 Drilling at High-Priority El Pozo Target

Pan Global Resources has officially kicked off its 2026 drill program at the Escacena Project in southern Spain. I’m tracking the first target, El Pozo, which is currently being tested by a four-hole initial program. This site is a high-priority Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) target located just 3 km north of the company’s flagship La Romana deposit.

The El Pozo Target: Key Indicators

The company’s decision to lead with El Pozo is based on a cluster of strong geological and geophysical signals. I’m looking at the data, and the alignment here is significant:

The 2026 Strategy

El Pozo is just the beginning. The 2026 program is an ambitious, multi-target campaign designed to expand the company’s copper resource base.

Escacena Project: Mineral Resource Foundation

The 2026 program builds on the maiden Mineral Resource Estimates (MRE) released at the end of 2025. Pan Global is operating in the Iberian Pyrite Belt, one of the world’s most prolific copper regions, surrounded by major producers like Atalaya and Grupo México.

“Our goal at Escacena is to build on the La Romana and Cañada Honda discoveries to define a 100-plus-million tonne resource base.” — Tim Moody, President and CEO
