Pan Global Resources
The El Pozo Target: Key Indicators
The company’s decision to lead with El Pozo is based on a cluster of strong geological and geophysical signals. I’m looking at the data, and the alignment here is significant:
- Soil Geochemistry: A copper-zinc anomaly extends over 1.6 km east-west.
- Historical Workings: The drill will test beneath a historical mine shaft to see if mineralization continues at depth.
- Geophysics: Coincident gravity, electromagnetic (EM), and Induced Polarization (IP) responses suggest a potential mineralized system beneath the surface.
The 2026 Strategy
El Pozo is just the beginning. The 2026 program is an ambitious, multi-target campaign designed to expand the company’s copper resource base.
- Scope: Up to 15 untested targets are slated for follow-up throughout the year.
- Strategic Locations: Drilling is also planned for the Cortijo target (Escacena North) and the Trinidad and Carmen targets (Escacena South).
- Expansion: The team will also test for extensions at the existing La Romana (Cu-Sn-Ag) and Cañada Honda (Cu-Au) deposits.
Escacena Project: Mineral Resource Foundation
The 2026 program builds on the maiden Mineral Resource Estimates (MRE) released at the end of 2025. Pan Global is operating in the Iberian Pyrite Belt, one of the world’s most prolific copper regions, surrounded by major producers like Atalaya and Grupo México.
“Our goal at Escacena is to build on the La Romana and Cañada Honda discoveries to define a 100-plus-million tonne resource base.” — Tim Moody, President and CEO
