TurnOnGreen Completes EV Charging Project for Foster City Housing

TurnOnGreen, Inc. has officially completed a new electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure project in Foster City, California. This initiative specifically targets workforce housing, providing critical infrastructure to residents of The Pilgrim community at 501 Pilgrim Drive.

The project aligns with Foster City’s Climate Action Plan, which aims to slash community emissions to 50% below 2005 levels by the year 2030.

Smart Management and Incentives

The City isn’t just installing hardware; they are utilizing TurnOnGreen’s cloud-based management software to oversee the entire network. This allow city officials to:

This project was also supported by the Peninsula Clean Energy incentive program, which provided both technical assistance and financial incentives to make the workforce housing installation possible.

The California “Charging Gap”

I’m tracking a massive infrastructure need in the state. According to the California Energy Commission, the state will need over 1.01 million chargers by 2030 to support the projected 7.1 million EVs on the road. TurnOnGreen’s focus on residential and workforce housing addresses a key part of this “missing middle” in the charging ecosystem.

“These chargers will help simplify the transition to electric mobility for Foster City residents… delivering affordable, reliable, and customizable EV charging solutions.” — Marcus Charuvastra, President of TurnOnGreen.
