10 GW Renewable Platform Anchors INOX Clean’s Global Growth Strategy

INOX Clean Energy has joined forces with RJ Corp Limited and SkyPower to create a renewable energy platform designed to deliver more than 10 gigawatts of solar infrastructure across Africa. The partnership begins with the acquisition of SkyPower Services MENA Ltd., establishing a scalable Independent Power Producer focused on high‑growth markets including Zambia, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

First steps and immediate execution

Phase one targets about 570 megawatts of renewable capacity, with commissioning expected once transaction formalities are complete. The broader pipeline is backed by sovereign‑supported power purchase agreements, secured land and evacuation infrastructure, and anticipated debt funding from multilateral institutions. Targeted project returns exceed 20 percent, underscoring the financial strength of the platform.

Long‑term goals

The alliance aims to reach 2.5 gigawatts of installed renewable capacity in Africa by fiscal year 2029. This aligns with INOX Clean’s broader target of 10 gigawatts of IPP capacity and 11 gigawatts of integrated solar manufacturing capacity by 2028. Construction on initial projects is expected to begin soon, marking the shift from contractual certainty to physical execution.

Complementary strengths

INOX Clean Energy contributes vertically integrated manufacturing and gigawatt‑scale construction capability, backed by the INOXGFL Group’s 90‑year industrial legacy. RJ Corp brings deep operational presence across African markets, while SkyPower adds decades of experience in structuring and financing large‑scale solar projects. Together, they form a financing‑ready and execution‑ready platform designed to deliver renewable infrastructure at speed and scale.

Executive perspectives

Devansh Jain of INOXGFL called the Africa foray a defining step in global expansion. Ravi Jaipuria of RJ Corp emphasized sustainability as central to growth strategy, noting the partnership’s role in decarbonizing operations. Kerry Adler of SkyPower highlighted the importance of reliable, contracted power as the foundation of economic transformation, pointing to nearly 3 gigawatts already under executed PPAs.
